AHA Teaching Gardens

School gardens are growing in number across the nation and are at the heart of creating a healthier lifestyle in today’s youth. The American Heart Association grants schools the tools they need to build a unique garden from the ground up. These Teaching Gardens feed the curiosity of students and spark an interest in healthier habits.

Bonnie Plants has always supported students and schools with donations for vegetable and herb gardens. We are proud to collaborate with the America Heart Association Teaching Garden to provide thousands of plants for this unique program.

If you represent a school that would like to apply for funding, a Tool Kit (including a school garden manual, lesson plans, activation ideas and resources), soil, raised bed, plants, guidance, and more, please contact teachinggardens@heart.org.

*In order to receive plant donations for your school, you must be an official recipient of the American Heart Association Teaching Gardens program.
