This is a space saving form of the favorite Burpless Hybrid. Short vines grow about 2 feet long. Fruit is straight and cylindrical for easy slicing. Eat these delicious cukes fresh, pickled, or sliced into salads. Excellent for small gardens and containers. Space 2 to 3 transplants 6 inches apart in hills spaced 4 feet apart.
Some Bonnie Plants varieties may not be available at your local stores, as we select and sell varieties best suited to the growing conditions in each region.
Didn't think I would get many fruits from a compact plant. Planted in two 5-7 gal containers thinking I would only get a few. But I got more cukes from them than I did when I planted 4 other types in ground on a trellis. Fruits are large with few seeds and tasted great and no stomach disorders. I will plant this one many times to come. It also weathered the heat this year well but I did keep them watered everyday after they reached maturity. (Posted on August 24, 2012)

Excellent! I grow cucumbers vertically on a homemade trellis (8'hx7'w) plants grew to top and now on their way downward spanning over the entire trellis - nice to walk up and see cucumbers growing without having to dig around in the vegetation. I let the cucumbers grow to about 10"-12" before picking. Very slender, meaty without a lot of seeds - impressed with this hybrid. Our region is going through an unusual hot/dry summer almost drought state and these plants are doing very well considering. I have been very conservative with the water as a result of and the plants are handling it very well. I gave my father some of these too and he is completely happy with this cucumber and wants seeds for next year. Highly recommend and will definitely plant for next planting season (2013) (Posted on July 18, 2012)

I bought four plants, and like Sydney's, mine are WAY bigger than 2 feet. I'm growing in an 18-gallon tote (sub-irrigated), and despite the crazy heat, these cukes are doing great. Knowing how tall they are, I won't put them in a box with peppers again (the poor peppers aren't getting any sun!). I've harvested 17 so far, and there are tons of flowers so I expect more. They are delicious, easy to grow, and I will definitely look for them again next year. (Posted on July 9, 2012)

I planted Bonnie transplants in the beginning of April and was plucking delicious cucumbers by early May. This variety tasted really good and similar ones sell in Walmart for 72c each. The whole of May we ate 1 or more 6-7 inch Cucumbers most days and life was like in a fairy tale.... until the dreaded pickle worms attacked!
We live in Florida and the pickleworms start showing up by the end of May. They attacked all of the plant - flowers, cucumbers, stalks, leaves and demolished the plant beyond redemption. I tried Neem oil and would have moved onto the stronger Sevin but the plant got into a really bad state and I removed the plant from my garden.
Water very consistently and don't let the soil dry out for long periods of time to get good yield. The bush is compact and well suited for a raised bed growing about 3-4 feet. A trellis is perfect but a big tomato cage will also do though not highly recommended. As time progresses the base expands and more shoots come up and a bed might be a better idea than a pot.
Next year I will definitely plant this again but as early in spring as I can and then maybe stop in June when things get bad. But this was surely worth the short and sweet memory I had this year. (Posted on July 9, 2012)

So easy to grow and extremely fast growing. After a month, I have about 30 baby cukes, some will be ready in a day or so! I must say, however, that my plant is definitely larger than the stated 2 feet. I have it in a 52" tomato cage and it is overflowing! What amazing growth! (Posted on June 29, 2012)

I got these by accident last year, I went looking for them this year. Great taste, good yield, requires less space. I grow them in my flower bed. This is all I will buy from now on. (Posted on June 28, 2012)

This cucumber was so much fun for my 6 yo son to grow. We grew it in a rectangular plastic pot with a homemade trellis. The cucumbers produced quickly for instant gratification on manageable length vines. We did not use any insecticide /fungicide, not needed. We picked them at 6 " long, rinsed with water and stored in fridge, made for crisp delicious cucumbers. My husband who usually doesn't like cukes due to persistent burping, was able to enjoy these without the "side effects". (Posted on March 4, 2012)
