TAM Mild Jalapeno Pepper

• Fruit size: 2 to 3 inches
• Matures: 67 to 73 days
• Scoville heat units: 1,000 to 1,500 (mild)

If you're sensitive to pungent peppers, this is a milder Jalapeño with all the flavor, but not the fire. Developed by Texas A & M University, this variety is tolerant to potato virus Y. Peppers change from deep green to bright red at maturity. Use them in salsa, sauces, pickling, or any dishes that normally call for hot jalapeños. Harvest at any size. Set transplants 18 inches apart in rows 30 inches apart.
