Loran Strawberry

  • Light: Full sun
  • Type: Everbearing; perennial in zones 5-8
  • Plant spacing: 6 inches apart
  • Plant size: 6 to 8 inches tall

Pretty white blooms fade to form large, deep red, cone-shaped berries on this everbearing variety. Fruits burst with sweet flavor and are packed with vitamin C. Savor a long harvest, with fruits ripening in waves from late spring until frost. Heaviest fruiting occurs in late spring to early summer (depending on your zone) and fall.

Loran strawberries are delicious fresh and can also be used for pies, soups, and preserves. Plants are compact with few runners, so they work beautifully as edging or in containers. Choose a pot that holds at least one gallon of soil for best berry production.
