Bright Lights Swiss Chard is named for the brilliant colors of its stems. Use the leaves to color a salad or as a bed for mounds of chicken or potato salads. The stems turn green when cooked.

Bright Lights Swiss chard is as pretty as it is tasty. Large leaves with a prominent, flat wide mid-rib grow in an upright rosette that is beautiful in a bed or container. Grows best in full sun, but will tolerate partial shade and even appreciates it in spring in hot climates. Highly nutritious.Leaves taste a lot like spinach, but it is a member of the beet family. Freezes well. Space transplants12 to 24 inches apart in the garden.
