Rated 5 out of 5 by from I planted 3 of these in our raised beds at the community garden. We corrected the pH and fertilized with good compost before planting. These were AMAZING as were all of the Bonnie plants we used. These 3 eggplant bushes produced their lil hearts out all the way until after the 1st frost ( I covered them twice to allow the last fruits to ripen.) I wished I had counted how many we picked, but it was more than enough and I was able to share with quite a few people. Their taste is very mild and never needs to be peeled before cooking. I'm looking forward to getting them again this year, just as soon as I can find them!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I am growing both the Ichiban and this white eggplant in SWFL...both are doing well. The Ichiban seems to be more prolific and grows really beautiful long fruit. The white one has just started but I picked the first a few days ago and today I see there are two more ready to pick. I love eggplant and can use all I can get. Here in my zone, eggplant and peppers are a two season plant...they stop bearing and stop growing when it gets too cool, but start up again when the temps rise. I planted mine in December or January.....not much happening....but suddenly "gang busters". I learned this from my "master gardening instructor". Glad to know it so I didn't pull them. Eggplant are also self pruning and drop leaves. It isn't a disease or a bug, its the way they grow.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Poor yeild for the investment: I won't bother with this one again. The black beauty variety tastes better and had a higher yield of crop for my effort and expense.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Little to no production: I got one at Home Depot this spring. Although it grew to over 4' and was leafy and beautiful, even with hand pollinating it, it produced only one fruit that was small. So far better luck with the Ichiban variety.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best eggplant yet: This is the lightest best tasting eggplant I have ever had. Planted late May. 6 more eggplant coming due in about a week. Will plant again next season early.
