Yield : 4 – 6 servings
- 2 to 3 green tomatoes, sliced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 cup self-rising flour
- Vegetable oil for deep-frying
- Sprinkle the tomato slices with salt and pepper. Dip each slice in the egg and coat with the flour. Fry in hot oil until golden brown.
- Serve this simple and tart dish as a side for a meal or as an appetizer with your favorite dip.
