Thyme 3-Pack Plugs

Add flavor and fragrance to your favorite meals when you grow Bonnie Plants® Thyme Plugs. A plant plug is a seedling that was started and grown in an individual cell filled with potting soil. These strong, young plants get your garden growing fast: they're ready to plant in containers, raised beds, or in-ground gardens when the danger of frost has passed. If you're growing a large garden to feed a family or preserve food for winter, plugs make a cost-effective choice. Plus, you'll better control what goes into and onto your plants--raising young plants lets you choose how they'll grow, which is especially important if you prefer growing sustainably. Enjoy thyme in your favorite recipes, like soups, sauces, beans, meat dishes, and eggs. Use perennial thyme plant plugs to create a beautiful border or groundcover, or add them to your herb or vegetable garden to attract beneficial insects. Thyme adds fabulous fragrance to DIY projects, like soap and potpourri, too. You'll receive three young thyme plants, ready to get your garden season off to a great start! Caring for young plants that turn into garden-to-table meals provides a great feeling of satisfaction. Check out our "How to Grow and Care for Plugs" article in our Growing Guides for tips to give your plugs a great start.

French Tarragon

A chef’s best friend and a must for every herb garden, Bonnie Plants® French Tarragon turns ordinary main dishes into masterpieces. The unassuming herb may not steal the show in your herb garden, but its sweet anise flavor turns meat and vegetables into extraordinary culinary treats. One of the ingredients of the classic herb blends Fines Herbes, Herbes de Provence, and Bouquet Garni, this fragrant, flavorful herb tastes delicious topping salads and soups, or use it to create delicious seafood or poultry dishes. It adds the perfect flavor to potato salad, too. Plus, it's a key ingredient for creating Sauce Béarnaise. Add a pot of French tarragon just outside the kitchen for convenient meal-time harvest, or plant it in raised beds or in-ground herb gardens near more architectural plants, like lemongrass or rosemary. While delicious used fresh in recipes, French tarragon also dries well to preserve for use in winter. A heat-tolerant, cold-tolerant, drought-tolerant herb, French tarragon prefers full sun and well-drained soil. It grows 24 to 36 inches tall and is a perennial in USDA zones 3 to 8. Be sure to water your plant when the top inch of soil feels dry to the touch, and feed it regularly with Miracle-Gro® Plant Food. With more than 100 years of experience, Bonnie Plants® offers high-quality live plant varieties designed for your gardening success.
