Pineapple Sage (2 Pack)

Gardeners add the uniquely flavored leaves and flowers of Pineapple Sage, an herbaceous perennial, to a variety of dishes including; poultry, pork, marinades, sugars and teas. It provides a lovely fragrance and flavor to a dish, especially when leaves are sautéed before adding. The flowers make a beautiful garnish and attracts hummingbirds. Pineapple-scented leaves and rich red blooms in late summer. Great for vases and containers. Water regularly for the first few weeks after planting, then only water during a dry spell. Good drainage is essential during the growing season. Harvest leaves and flowers once they are large enough to use, or leave them to attract pollinators. Named for the uncanny pineapple scent of its foliage, pineapple sage is worth the wait. It is a seasonal treat that gives gardeners a sense of anticipation. A small plant set out in spring after the danger of frost has passed will grow into a branching plant 3 to 4 feet tall and nearly as wide by the time it blooms. It will then sprout spires of cardinal-red blooms in late summer and fall, just in time to refuel hummingbirds and butterflies for their fall migration. If you live in an area that does not freeze, blooms will continue all winter and sometimes all year.

Georgia Sweet Onion (2 Pack)

If you love sweet Vidalia® onions, now you can grow your own with Bonnie Plants® Georgia Sweet Onions Yellow Granex Hybrid. Each bunch contains 30 to 40 plants, perfect for filling your pantry with homegrown onions. While only onions grown in a certain part of Georgia can use the brand name, Georgia Sweet is the same delicious onion that you can grow at home. An easy-to-grow addition to your garden, the short-day variety performs beautifully in southern regions. You'll love the flavor of Georgia Sweet, whether you add it to a burger, slice it for salad, bake it in a tart, or use it for French onion soup. The plants produce 3-inch bulbs: perfect to eat like an apple! Onion plants need full sunlight to produce bulbs. Keep bulbs cool and dry until you can plant, up to 3 weeks. Separate the onions from the bunch, spacing the plants 6 inches apart, and grow in well-drained, rich soil in raised beds or in-ground gardens. The tops reach 12 to 18 inches tall, and bulbs mature in 110 to 120 days. With proper conditions, Georgia Sweet Onions store well for about 1 to 2 months after harvest. Be sure to water your plant when the top inch of soil feels dry to the touch, and feed it regularly with Miracle-Gro® plant food. Bonnie Plants® easy-to-grow varieties create culinary inspiration, adding delicious flavors, textures, and colors to your garden-to-table meals.
