Hybrid. Large, firm, cone-shaped berries have a wonderfully sweet flavor, thanks to their high sugar content. Everbearing plants begin producing in late spring and continue through until fall. Plants grow upright as well as outward, and do well in both the garden and hanging baskets. Resistant to verticillium wilt, phytophthora crown rot, anthracnose crown rot. Organic varieties are only available at retailers.
Allstar produces high yields of very large, sweet, extra juicy berries in late mid-season, which is usually late spring and early summer, depending on when summer arrives in your area. As a Junebearer, the harvest season is concentrated over a few weeks, making it a good choice if you want to freeze or cook with a lot of berries at one time. Vigorous plants are resistant to verticillium wilt and red stele, and moderately resistant to leaf scorch and powdery mildew. Plant so that crown is just above soil level.

This excellent home garden variety yields exceptionally large, dark red fruit from late spring through autumn. Although it is officially considered Junebearing, Sequoia strawberry plants produce like an everbearing strawberry in mild climates, putting on berries throughout the warm season. The berries are firm at first and soften as they enlarge. Resistant to powdery mildew. Sequoia strawberry plants are widely adapted, being recommended in gardens from California to Utah to Florida.
